Hippo Hill Camp
Situated in the heart of Queen Elizabeth wilderness this camp is another favourite of ours. Guests of the camp stay in one of the luxury tents with either twin or double beds. Each tent is en suite with the bathrooms containing a flushing toilet and a bucket shower. The tents are lit by solar lights.
All meals are included and are provided in the main mess tent which is highly social and there is a well stocked bar!
The camp overlooks a soda lake which when filled with water attracts large numbers of flamingos. Hippo Hill is enclosed by a fence but you will see herds of animals in the vicinity.
Gorilla Tracking Uganda Sales Consultant Sarah Chatteris visited the camp in Oct 2006: “It is the camp’s wilderness setting which is its selling point. I will never forget the nights sitting at the camp fire under the stars, being surrounded by the sounds of Africa.
